undefined symbol: _ppdOpen

Hi,

I've compiled and installed Cups 1.6 on Raspbian and I can access the webbased admin. But when adding a printer and selecting which Make / Model (even if I select Generic PostScript Printer) Cups crashes with the following error:

cupsd: symbol lookup error: cupsd: undefined symbol: _ppdOpen


Any suggestions?

Daniel,

Sounds like the libcups.so.2 file either didn't get installed or is in a different location than expected by the cupsd executable. What does "ldd /usr/sbin/cupsd" report?
