When trying to install a printer, I get the error message "Network Host '192.168.1.245' is busy; ..." The printer is NOT busy!

I'm trying to print to a network printer, on a Windows 2000 domain, at IP Address 192.168.1.245, the printer is a standalone printer (not attached to another computer and then shared), it works correctly for my XP machine, I can ping the printer from my Linux box, and everything else on my linux box seems to be working correctly. I'm also running SAMBA to allow my domain login and get my other domain connections and all that is working fine.

Any suggestions?

This error message usually is emitted (by the IPP backend and the socket
backend)
if the connection request fails with one of the following error codes:
connection refused
host down
host unreachable

As yyou can print from XP, I suspect that your printer refuses
connections from
the CUPS server. Perhaps the printer is configured to check if the
requestor
belongs to the same W2K domain or the like.
